Liebe Community,

Ich habe mir einen neuen Server zugelegt und seit dem ich meinen alten Server auf den neuen drauf gespielt habe sind die zeichen von der WelcomeMessage (Motd) von essentials verbuggt ich habe 2 Screenshots.

Alter Server richtiger zustand:

Es fehlen die Locales, die du selber noch setzen musst, damit der Server die Sonderzeichen entlang der Bestimmungen deines Landes (vermutlich DL) korrekt verarbeitet.

Wenn du Ubuntu hast, hat bei mir das geholfen:

sudo locale-gen de_DE.UTF-8

Und wenn du Debian hast musst du erst als root das Paketlocalesinstallieren.

Dann musst du mit

dpkg-reconfigure locales

in die Konfiguration gehen, dich mit den Tasten nach oben&unten zu de_DE navigieren und mit einer Leertaste dasselbe antippen.

Mit Enter kannst du den Dialog dann bestätigen.

Reboote den server (ich mach das immer mitrebootals root), und alles sollte funzen.

Das tat es jedenfalls bei mir :) "
