pkgk15 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 1 block in the Nether = 8 blocks in the Overworld This means when you travel to the Nether, the game calculates where your portal should be based on your Overworld position divided by 8. If no portal is near that calculated Nether spot, the game will generate a new one nearby (within a certain range). But if there's already another portal too far from that expected location, strange linking behavior happens—like what you're experiencing. Always bring obsidian and flint & steel when exploring the Nether. That way, if something goes wrong, you can build a portal and get back. Consider building a safe base or tunnel around your Nether portal, especially if you're trying to reconnect things safely. try>> Nether Portal Calculator
